President's Message

Headshot Photo of President Mr. Joe McNeil with a backdrop of an waving American Flag I look forward to doing my best for you and the Georgia Regional Group. We have much to look forward to and many challenges to meet. Our primary mission is also one of the challenges; that is to inform all blind or visually impaired veterans of the existence of the BVA and that we are here to assist them with their impairment. We also want to make certain that they know of the blind rehabilitation program that is offered by the VA. Your membership to our group can be beneficial as it provides the blind veteran the opportunity to meet others in the same situation and share information and experiences. We need to be aware of any returning veteran from the desert storm, Iraq and Afghanistan wars and inform them of the BVA mission. Finally, we must make sure all blind or visually impaired veterans have all the vital information needed so they can maintain their level of independence and live a full life. Remember this is your organization and it’s only as good as the people in it and what they put into it. God bless America, the state of Georgia, and the members of the Georgia Regional Group.
